Saint Clare School for Special Education offers a 3 weeks Immersion Program to all students prior to formal enrolment.
This is a three week period of observation during which teachers assess the child in terms of his/her academic, social, and emotional growth. The school aims to assess the learning problems of students and the type and degree of intervention required.
After completing the immersion program the parents and school mutually agree to have the student admitted into the school, further observation cum assessment of the student will be done to create the Individual Education Program.

My son’s condition tremendously improved after his time in saint clare’s. All the teachers, especially the principal Mr Prakash are very committed to help us in different ways of managing my son’s behaviour

Our family moved to Singapore in 2008 and we were very fortunate to find Saint Clare for our 9-year son who has academic and language processing difficulties. From a child who had previously resisted school, he became one who loved being there. He blossomed and became a confident kid growing from strength to strength. Saint Clare helped in building our son’s self-esteem and gave him the training and skills to overcome his difficulties.

Most importantly Mr. K, (as the principle and co-founder of this school is fondly called) and his wonderful set of teachers became our son’s life long mentors, coaches , and guides. Each teacher who taught him guided and moulded him in their own special way. The bus aunty and uncle were no less important.

Mr K’s guidance wasn’t limited to taking care of our son as a student of his school. He enabled our son’s move to a vocational based secondary school. This was the first step in helping our son build skills which would help him with a job and ability to live life independently. But Saint Clare’s positive presence did not end there. Mr K and the teachers were open to us to reach out to them for emotional support, especially when my son had challenges in his new school. We still meet with them to celebrate important milestones in our son’s life and career.

Mr K continues to selflessly mentor our son who is now 21 years old, and we can’t be grateful enough. When we asked our son why Saint Clare was so special for him – he responded “the teachers always motivated us and NEVER gave up on us”. To date, he doesn’t feel any different from his neurotypical peers. Admitting our child into Saint Clare was the best decision we took in his life.
