Senior
(13–21 Years)
Introduction
At Saint Clare School for Special Education, our Senior Programme is designed to guide students aged 13 to 21 years through the crucial transition from school life to independent living and meaningful participation in the community. This is a time of growth, self-discovery, and preparation for the future.
Our holistic approach combines functional academics, vocational training, and personal development to help students gain confidence and adaptability. Lessons extend beyond textbooks, focusing on real-world applications of knowledge—preparing each learner to make informed decisions, manage daily responsibilities, and explore future career opportunities.
What Students Learn and Build
- Functional Academics: Practical learning in literacy, numeracy, and communication for everyday living.
- Vocational Preparation: Exposure to hands-on work experiences, such as retail, food service, or craft-based training to build employability skills.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Encouraging critical thinking and self-advocacy in daily life situations.
- Personal Health & Wellbeing: Guidance on hygiene, safety, nutrition, and emotional regulation for greater self-care and confidence.
- Community & Career Development: Learning to interact responsibly, explore work placements, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Our educators, job coaches, and therapists work collaboratively to help every student discover their strengths and aspirations. Through structured routines, guided internships, and real-world experiences, students learn to take responsibility, adapt to change, and find pride in their independence.
Empower your child to take confident steps toward independence.
